So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.”

Acts 9:34     And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” And immediately he rose.         Acts 19:11         

And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, am truly Humbled that God performed this mighty Miracle in our life with Mack. We have lived day by day in true appreciation of this Precious Life we have! And believe me when I say that  we don't believe it was all or mostly for our benefit. As we know where our Reward truly lies. The timing was not right for Mack to go, I really felt that with Shelby our teenage daughter just called into the mission field this was more of an attack on our family and not truly God's time for Mack.
  I have been with many people when it was their time. It was peaceful, there was a sad but comforting Spirit even through the grief. I have also experienced people pass when it wasn't their time, and it is different. God had told me to fight. He gave me instruction. So I had assurance that Mack would wake up, though we didn't know how much time we would have after.
  We have been truly blessed and as Mack has been close to death many times since that date. He has mentally healed continually. I am jumping way ahead of myself! It is a long and hard journey, we are still on- you laugh with Joy and celebrate each accomplishment!
  Have you ever read ahead in a book! Sneak peak! On June 26th 2012, Macks amnesia just went away!  He experienced an awakening! He actually held his first real conversation! Not an imitation of sentences that he had heard, or phrases, or toddler acting. He was the man that I had married for the most part! He now has emotion! Anger, sadness, an attitude! He still has processing issues, old timers, empathy issues, but we forge on!
  He is still healing~ God is so Good~ Why was I so amazed? I had read all of this in the Old Testiment!  Our Father Created us from dirt, so how can it be to hard for our Father in Heaven to heal a brain? So many amazing things happened when Mack woke up! He didn't need to eat or drink with thickening agents anymore! He could swallow with no problems! No more crushing pills and mixing with pudding for my husband!
  We are so Thankful for Mack's Healing here with us. If we are His Children, we All will be Completely Healed and Perfect one day with Him~

MIRACLE MACK - May 7th, 2011 Post I shared with Friends

Miracle Mack

God has moved in so many ways, and touched so many lives! I Thank Him and Praise Him for his Miracle after Miracle! Mack had a Massive Heart attack while driving. He was barely moving, all over the road when he ran into a guard rail nearly going over a bridge onto Railroad tracks below. He had vomited, and aspirated all the vomit into his lungs. A Police Officer saw him swerving and went to the rescue, began immediate CPR . Once at the little Hospital in Easley, they continued trying to suction the vomit from his lungs, and tried to bag him for another 50 minutes. He had gone without oxygen at this point for 1 hour and 20 minutes. So they brought me in to say Good bye. I walked up to him and told him to breathe, he needed to come back to us, there was a lot to do ect.. and I told the Dr.s to do all they had to and to intubate- and get him stable. He was gone, I looked at him and could see that Mack's spirit was not there, his tongue was hanging out, he was swelling from the brain damage. I stepped out to one of our Pastor's and cried into his shirt that Mack was gone. I left them all, our friends with the kids and told them I had to go out to pray, by myself. When I prayed to my Father, it was selfish and full of tears. We need to finish raising Shelby, we need him awhile longer, all the kids and I need Mack right now, we love him. Shelby was just called to Missions and Satan is throwing everything against her, not this Lord. He spoke to me, not audibly but I could feel His voice- "Do you trust me?"
Yes Lord in all things. "Pray My Will Be Done."
I was sobbing, these were the last words I wanted to pray. (Notice the word I) I wanted My will. But I do trust him alway's- so very chokingly I prayed;
"Father.. Your... Will.... Be.... Done...... And as soon as those words were finished, The Holy Spirit enveloped me, and held me so. A comfort came over me that is unexplainable. Also in my heart He gave me instructions to fight for Mack.
So when I went back into the hospital, first miracle was answered, Mack was intubated! The discussion would go like this. Me; I need your to copter my husband over to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Dr. :We can't, they won't except a Brain dead patient. We will just keep him here and let this play out. Me:: I need you to Copter my husband as soon as possible over to Memorial. Dr. We can't he is brain Dead. They won't except a brain Dead patient. ect.....
7 1/2 hours later, Mack was helicoptered over to The Heart Institute at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
They worked on Mack at Memorial for several hours, then gathered me and the kids into the family room. They gave us the Second Miraculous news, He was Not Brain Dead, he had a gag reflex! That means he is in a Coma! Mack has a 5% chance of waking into a Vegetative State. We had missed the opportunity to thermal ice his brain injury by 1 1/2 hours. What were my instructions? Should they let him go? I told them to do everything they could to save his life- Everything!
This was day one of our 35 day adventure with the Miracles- Mack was actually considered brain dead for 8 days. They said his brain stem was functioning but not his brain. I was walking around with a smile that you couldn't wipe off with ajax, most of the time, so those who were familiar with this type of situation were very concerned for me, my understanding, and how was Kelly going to take this? But believe me, the Dr.s, Nurses drilled me straight, hour after hour with it, the gloom and doom. And right when they were really starting to get to me, God would send someone in to lift me up! God is so Good! Your reading this now, wondering... about my posts on FB? Mack opened his eye's! Well they were Miracles! At the same time,people in a Vegatative state do that and I was being given statistics and told he wasn't going to make it. But I wanted Prayer going up for Mack that was full of Faith! I wasn't going to bring down your faith with statistics, and truths of the average person in this situation. Edify alway's!
I didn't know, and don't know how much time he has. Or I have for that matter, we are all going to die one day- We are Celebrating each day together, and I will share the many miracles! The Dr.s, the Nurses, the Therapists, the Salvations! They come in one after another with a list, Lawrence Mack Culpepper 1 hour 20 min w/0 oxygen, Massive Heart Attack, Coma, Vegetative 8 days, Vomit asp. pneumonia, Severe Anoxic Brain Injury ect... And they walked in to a man who can now , talk,tell a story, walk, and tell a joke or two! Then when they get over the shock, the doors would open, the testifying would begin! And the tears would flow! The Critical Care team came in to tell Mack he is a Miracle, it was nothing they did, it was a Higher Power! He is getting better everyday- and we treasure every moment. Holy Is Our God Almighty! Thank You all For your Prayers and Love During this time, and the Days ahead!

I posted a picture of Mack walking with our daughter today. This is where God brought Mack from. In this picture the Dr.s were saying he was brain dead. I Took it to show Mack when he woke up. If your a witness to this miracle, What is God saying to your heart? I am so Thankful, but also not selfish enough to believe he performed this Miracle only for us to be touched. God is speaking to you if your reading this~In His Love

Each day I carried Condemned to die to a Dr.s office, anxious to have my time to read. For me it is not a book to just read. With your's and Brenna's Love and laughter, sorrow and tears, were ours. I breathed and lived many, if not most of the exact moments you went through. That in itself, broke my heart for you. I relived so many moments through this precious book, to numerous to count!
  Each person has their own story. The medical was very much the same. My husband, Mack suffered a full cardiac arrest while driving, vomit, aspirated all into his lungs. Went 1 hour 20 minutes without oxygen. I fought to get him intubated (On life support) Fought to not let them take him off. He was not given the treatment others were given for Anoxic Brain Injury because he went such a great length of time. What I did get was a Medical Power of Attorney. Though they said I didn't need it while he was in the hospital. He did after 8 days fight to come out of the PVS. And they tried to force me to put him into a Nursing home with One RN per 60 patients for Rehab. I resisted and took him home.
  We invented our own therapy. When they quit coming out. Mack stopped thinking he was Donald Duck, and hallucinating. He progressively healed. He can now walk, hold a conversation, he can drink, (without thickner agents) laugh, he can read, tell jokes, and recently held his first conversation on politics! And He was suppose to be dead. Then brain dead, Then in a coma, then PVS, ect.... They just don't know. There is so much they don't know. God know's. All life is so precious, every single breath. When he (Mack) was able to talk, he told us the things we did, said , asked us questions about that time.. But he was dead.. then PVS , they said so..
